We’re thrilled to announce a major overhaul of the Teamio Tasks feature, rebuilt from the ground up based on your valuable feedback.

Our goal? To make managing your practice’s daily workload more intuitive, visually clear, and powerfully efficient.


Managing follow-ups, assignments, and daily to-dos is crucial for a smooth-running practice. That’s why we’ve invested in making this core feature better than ever. Let’s dive into the exciting improvements:

A Fresh, Modern Look for Ultimate Clarity

First impressions matter! We’ve redesigned the task interface with a clean, modern aesthetic.

  • Organized Grid Layout: Say goodbye to cluttered lists! Tasks are now presented in a structured grid with distinct columns for Status, Task Description, Attachments, Patients, Tags, Repeats, Due Date, Creator, and Assignees. Finding the information you need is now lightning fast.
  • Consistent Visual Cues: Standardized icons, clear status badges, and refined styling create a cohesive and polished experience across the entire task system.
  • Informative Loading: No more guessing! A new loading overlay clearly communicates when tasks are being fetched or bulk actions (like deleting completed tasks) are in progress.

Task Tagging – New Feature!

  • Create new tags while you’re creating or editing a task for better organization.
  • Associate existing tags to tasks you’ve already created
  • Only want to see your equipment-maintenance related tags? No problem! – Use the tag filter to quickly bring up your important tasks

Your Task List, Supercharged

The main task list is where you spend a lot of time, so we’ve packed it with enhancements:

  • Instant Status Recognition: See if a task is Incomplete, Overdue, or Completed at a glance with distinct, color-coded badges. Completed tasks now subtly display who completed them, right in the status column!
  • Clearer Assignments & Patient Links: Quickly identify who’s responsible and which patients are involved. While the list shows key assignees/patients, the details view now shows everyone (more on that below!).
  • Dedicated “Repeats” Column: Is it a recurring task? Now you know instantly, along with its frequency (e.g., Daily, Weekly on Mon, Monthly on 15th).

Effortless Task Creation

Adding new tasks should be quick and easy. Now it is:

  • Speak Plain English for Dates : Forget hunting for a date picker! Just type due dates naturally, like “by next Tuesday”, “end of month”, or even recurring patterns like “every Friday” or “monthly on the 1st”. Teamio understands and sets the date and recurrence automatically!
  • Seamless Tagging & Assignment: Use the familiar @ to assign to team members and # to link patients while typing your task. Plus, a dedicated input makes adding extra organizational tags a breeze.

Dive Deeper: Enhanced Task Details

Need more context? The task details panel has been significantly improved:

  • See Everyone Involved! The details view now displays the full list of all tagged patients and all assigned team members. Complete visibility, finally!
  • Quick Edits: Easily add or remove tags directly within the details view. Task creators can also modify the assignee list on the fly.

Filter, Sort, and Conquer!

Take control of your view with powerful new tools:

  • Robust Filtering: Narrow down your list by Status (including a specific “Overdue” filter!), Patients, Assignees, Tags, and even Repeating vs. Non-Repeating tasks.
  • Multi-Column Sorting: Arrange tasks exactly how you want. Sort by Description, Patient, Tags, Status (Overdue, Incomplete, Completed), Due Date, Creator, Assignee, or the new Repeats column!
  • One-Click Reset: Applied too many filters? A simple “Clear All Filters” button brings you right back to the default view.

Recurring Tasks, Demystified

We’ve streamlined how repeating tasks work behind the scenes for better reliability:

  • Reliable Next Instance: If a recurring task becomes overdue (e.g., a daily task isn’t finished on Friday), Teamio’s nightly process now automatically creates the next instance (due Saturday in this case). This ensures repeating duties stay on track, while the overdue item remains visible for accountability.
